GLASS AMBASSADOR CHALLENGE
Recycle Today, Sustain Tomorrow!
O-I BJC, in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), is launching the Glass Ambassador Challenge as part of Bach Khoa Innovation 2025. This is a brand-new category under the U-I competition, marking a significant milestone in the partnership between O-I BJC and HCMUT, with a shared commitment to sustainability through glass collection and recycling initiatives.




OUR GOALS
Seeking innovative, diverse, and unrestricted ideas and solutions in the form of applications, technology, systems, or process chains that enhance the efficiency of collecting, color sorting, and recycling used glass packaging

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

PARTICIPANT TEAM
-
Startup groups (businesses with a business license from January 2020 onward).

Students and alumni (graduated no more than 2 years at the time of registration).

Graduated students from domestic and international universities.

HOW TO REGISTER
-
Register as a team of 3-6 members. The registration link will be announced soon along with BKI 2025.
KEY DATES

RULES
-
The team leader is the official representative of the team and works with the Competition Organizing Committee (COC).
-
During the competition, any changes of team members/team leader must be reported at least 2 weeks before the Final Round and require approval from the COC.

A team of advisors, including university lecturers and engineers from O-I BJC, will support the competing teams

From Round 2, teams will be considered for financial support to develop prototype products, ranging from 1 million to 3 million VND per team.

AWARDS
And the opportunity to receive an internship and project development investment from businesses in the post-competition phase.
GENERAL COMPETITION CRITERIA

Innovation
New ideas compared to existing glass collection and recycling methods, with innovative elements in approach and implementation

Team & Execution
Skilled, committed team members with the ability to execute the vision.

Feasibility and practical effectiveness
The idea should be easy to implement in practice, suitable for or capable of addressing current challenges in infrastructure and available resources in Vietnam

Presentation
A structured, persuasive, and professional pitch

Cost optimization
The project must be cost-effective, balancing investment costs and generated profits.

Compliance with legal regulations
The project content must not violate current legal regulations, including but not limited to Intellectual Property Law and Environmental Protection Law

ADVISOR TEAM
A team of expert advisors from O-I BJC and HCMUT will serve as dedicated and professional mentors, guiding the competing teams on their journey to becoming Glass Ambassadors.
